[1]  Transaction format :

N = numeric; A = alphabetic ; X = alphanumeric
  • Vertical bars (pipes) must be used as separators between each variable and fixed data element field. The Delimiter is a Vertical Bar ( ‘|’, X ‘7C’, character 124 according to ISO Standard 8859-1). Each record must be ended by a carriage return (C/R)
     
  • Transactions between NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) and translating nations will be exchanged in Text (.txt) format using mandatory character encoding UNICODE UTF-8
     
  • The update files from NSPA will be DIFFERENTIAL files from US database whereas the returned translation files from nations are FULL FILE OVERLAYS and/or INCREMENTAL
     
  • DRN 2310, Transaction Date, identifies the date an addition, change or deletion was entered into a record.  It will not reflect the effective date of the addition, change or deletion
[2]  Update Flag (Status) :
 
- CODE N : NEW Record (addition of new record to US database)
- CODE C : CANCELLED Record (US record Status passes from A to C, and record remains in US database)
- CODE D : DELETED Record (Record deleted from US database)
- CODE U : UPDATED Record (any change in US-H2 records for DRN 4970, 4962, 0375, 0376, 4972, 4965 and any change in US-H6 records for DRN 5000, 5015, 2926 )

NOTE: This field remains “empty” for nations’ FULL FILE and INCREMENTAL upload translations to the NSPA server (not processed by NSPA)!
[3]  NMCRL-WEB Hits (NSNs) :

The number of NSN occurrences (hits of NSCs, hits of INCs) in NMCRL-WEB application will only be populated by NSPA for the differential INPUT files (Missing Translations) to nations.

: This field remains “empty” for nations’ FULL FILE and INCREMENTAL upload translations to the NSPA server (not processed by NSPA)!
